Berlin Communications Week

October 11-15 2010: A full week of communications activities in Berlin

Berlin is hosting a comprehensive set of established events in the communications industry during the week October 11-15 2010. The week starts with the tutorials and keynote addresses of the 14th International Conference on Intelligence in Next Generation Networks (ICIN 2010) hosted by Deutsche Telekom at its historic Berlin representative office. The Monday evening is devoted to a Welcome Networking Reception at which ICIN 2010 will be officially opened by Harald Wolf, Senator for Economics, Technology and Women's Issues and Mayor of Berlin. The technical sessions of the ICIN 2010 conference addressing the theme "Weaving Applications into the Network Fabric" take place throughout Tuesday and Wednesday. Following the end of the technical presentations on Wednesday delegates have a choice of a special Berlin Tour organised by Berlin Partner, or an Organ Recital given by ICIN Technical Programme Committee member Igor Faynberg, before attending the ICIN Gala Dinner hosted by Deutsche Telekom.

Choices continue on Thursday. The ICIN 2010 event offers a selection of two workshops: the 2nd International Workshop on Business Models for Mobile Platforms or an interactive workshop on Telecom Transformation that explores scenarios for the telecom industry over the next decade. Thursday also sees the 3rd meeting of GI/ITG KuVS Fachgespräch "NG Service Delivery Platforms & Service Overlay Networks" hosted by Deutsche Telekom Laboratories.

The 1st FOKUS FUSECO Forum will be held at Fraunhofer FOKUS on Thursday and Friday, rounding off the Berlin Communications Week. This new Forum continues the famous FOKUS IMS Workshop series by concentrating on a key enabling technology for future communication and is devoted to "Business and Technical Challenges of Seamless Service Provision in Converging Next Generation Fixed and Mobile Networks".
