Paper formats

ICIN 2011 speakers should provide a final paper in PDF format (maximum 6 pages) for publication in the ICIN 2011 Conference Proceedings. Final papers must be IEEE Xplore-compatible PDFs based on standard IEEE conference templates that can be downloaded from http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html

Final paper PDFs must have top and bottom margins of at least 1.3 cm and must not contain page numbers or headers/footers.

Final papers for ICIN 2011 Technical Paper Sessions and Demonstration / Poster Sessions should be uploaded through the EDAS system at http://edas.info/N9791.

Final papers are subject to the approval of the session chairman who may recommend rejection of papers that do not take account of reviewers' requirements and expectations in an acceptable manner.

Speakers in technical paper sessions should also provide powerpoint slides for the oral presentation in the session. Powerpoint slides must conform to the template that can be downloaded here. Speakers in demonstration sessions should also provide a poster for display during the demonstration sessions.

BMMP 11 workshop speakers should provide a final paper in PDF format (maximum 6 pages) for publication in the ICIN 2011 Conference Proceedings as well as powerpoint slides for the oral presentation in the BMMP 11 workshop session. Powerpoint slides must conform to the template that can be downloaded here. Final papers must be IEEE Xplore-compatible PDFs based on standard IEEE conference templates that can be downloaded from http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html

An IEEE PDF eXpress site for ICIN 2011 allows authors to make IEEE Xplore-compatible PDFs (Conversion function) or to check their own PDFs for IEEE Xplore compatibility (PDF Check function). To use this service go to the IEEE PDF eXpress site at www.pdf-express.org and enter your information using the Conference ID: <icin11x> following the instructions below:

  1. Access the IEEE PDF eXpress site

    First-time users:Previous users, but using it the first time for a new conference:Returning users:
    a. Click "New Users - Click Here". a. Enter icin11x for the Conference ID, your email address, and enter the password you used for your old account. a. Enter icin11x for the Conference ID, email address and password.
    b. Enter icin11x for the Conference ID, your email address, and choose a new password. Continue to enter information as prompted. b. When you click "Login", you'll receive an error saying you need to set up an account. Simply click "Continue". By entering your previously used email address and password combination, you will enable your old account for access to this new conference.
    c. Check that the contact information is still valid, and click "Submit". c. You will receive online and email confirmation of successful account setup.

  2. For each conference paper, click "Create New Title".
  3. Enter identifying text for the paper (title is recommended but not required)
  4. Click "Submit PDF for Checking" or "Submit Source Files for Conversion"
  5. Indicate platform, source file type (if applicable), click Browse and navigate to file, and click "Upload File". You will receive online and email confirmation of successful upload
  6. You will receive an email with your Checked PDF or IEEE PDF eXpress-converted PDF attached. If you submitted a PDF for Checking, the email will show if your file passed or failed.

Options (choose one) If the PDF submitted fails the PDF check: If you are not satisfied with the IEEE PDF eXpress-converted PDF:If the PDF submitted passed the PDF Check, or you are satisfied with your IEEE PDF eXpress-converted PDF:
Option 1 Submit your source file for conversion by clicking Try again, then Submit Source Files for Conversion Resubmit your source file with corrections (Try again, then Submit Source Files for Conversion)
Option 2 Read the PDF Check report, then click "The PDF Check Report" in the sidebar to get information on possible solutions Submit a PDF by clicking Try again, then Submit PDF for Checking Submit your IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF [per the conference's instructions].
Option 3 "Request Technical Help" through your account "Request a Manual Conversion" through your account

Speaker registration


All authors who plan to present an accepted paper or poster must complete their paid registration by 30 June 2011. There is no refund for cancellation but substitutions may be made at any time prior to the event. Speakers, even if they are a student, must register at the discounted speaker rate which is only available to accepted presenters in the programme (one presenter per paper). Each presenter can present one paper in the programme. Only one author of a paper can register at the speaker rate. Co-authors participating in the event should register as delegates and qualify for a 20% discount. ICIN Events reserves the right to exclude a paper from the programme and from the conference proceedings and from distribution after the conference if the paper is not presented at the conference.

The speaker rate for ICIN 2011 is €710 + 19%VAT = €844.90
