This interactive two day event represents a technologically focused follow-up to the famous FOKUS IMS Workshop series. IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) has united SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) based control in IP networks. EPC (Evolved Packet Core) has the potential to become the common control platform for any IP application. From the technical maturity and global recognition points of view, EPC stands today where IMS stood five years ago. Therefore it is the right time to launch a new workshop series to create global awareness in academia and industry. The new FOKUS FUSECO Forum is continuing the famous FOKUS IMS Workshop series by concentrating on a key enabling technology for future communication. |
Business Models for Mobile Platforms
The second International workshop on Business Models for Mobile Platforms (BMMP 10) will be held on October 14th, 2010 in conjunction with the ICIN 2010 Conference. The workshop focuses on the causes and effects of the current explosion of platforms in the mobile ICT industry. Mobile platforms may refer to various system levels including mobile devices' operating systems, mobile network protocols, mobile services and applications, and so on. Through platform ownership, companies position themselves as central gatekeepers in the mobile industry. |
