Registration Terms and Conditions

1 – Payment Timing

  • The registration fee must be paid prior to admission to the ICIN 2010 Tutorials, Workshop and/or Conference
  • Registration is considered effective upon confirmation of payment by the Conference Secretariat and if not cancelled by 1 September 2010. Confirmation of registration and payment is sent electronically to the attendee
  • Attendees may request an invoice if needed to proceed with payment
  • Payment of the Early Bird rates must be received by 1 September 2010. From 2 September 2010 to 9 October 2010 the Regular rate will automatically apply. The On Site rate will apply from 10 October 2010
  • Speakers must proceed with payment by 30 July 2010. In case of non-payment by that date, the speaker's name will be removed from the Programme
  • Speakers must register at the speaker rate even if they are a student. Please note that the speaker rate is only available to accepted presenters in the programme (one presenter per paper). Each presenter can present one paper in the programme. Co-authors who wish to participate should register as delegates

  • Bank Transfer
  • Cheque
  • Cash

All registration fees are subject to 19.00% German VAT.

Payments made by bank transfer must be net of any bank charges. Payment instructions must clearly refer to ICIN 2010 and include the registrant's name and organisation.

3 – Currency

The event fees are denominated in Euros. Any additional fees and foreign currency conversion costs must be borne by the registrant.

4 – Cancellation

  • Cancellation requests must be made in writing to registrar@icin.biz. Requests must include name and contact details of registered attendee.
  • Cancellation requests received before 1 September 2010 will be refunded less €150 for administration expenses.
  • No refund requests will be accepted after 1 September 2010
  • If payment is made by bank transfer, any banking fees will be deducted from the refund
  • ICIN Events reserves the right to exclude a paper from the programme and from the conference proceedings and from distribution after the conference if the paper is not presented at the conference.

5 – Substitutions

  • Substitutions may be requested at any time
  • Registrants who paid a member or discounted rate can only be substituted without charge by delegates qualifying for an equivalent member or discounted rate
  • Substitution requests must include the name of the registered attendee, registration number, name of substitute, affiliated organisation if applicable, and all contact information

6 – Membership of Professional Societies

  • Attendees must provide the name of the Society of which they are a member
  • Conference Secretariat will have the option to verify that the registrant is a member of good standing in the Society
If you are not currently a member of one of the supporting Professional Societies, you can join before you register and take advantage of the lower registration rate.

7 – Academics and Students

  • Academic registrants are employed by a University
  • Students must present a copy of a valid student ID and a letter from a professor verifying their status as an active student when they pick up their registration materials

8 – Corporate Discounts and Group Registrations

  • Discounts may be available through corporate membership of ICIN Partner Associations. Please contact the partner association or registrar@icin.biz for details
  • For Group Registrations and discounts, please contact registrar@icin.biz
  • Discounts are granted at the discretion of ICIN Events Ltd and are not cumulative

9 – Event Cancellation

If any circumstances or events beyond the control of ICIN cause cancellation of all or any portion of the event, ICIN agrees to refund any portion of the registration fee for which ICIN is reimbursed by a third party and shall not be liable for any other refund or payment arising from the cancellation or for other liability or damages arising from the event.

10 – Privacy Policy

ICIN privacy policy pursues three aims:

  • to protect your privacy;
  • to provide details about the personal data we collect;
  • to provide information about the use of the data collected.
